Puerto Rican fashion model Joan Smalls appears in ‘Gloria’ for Vogue Paris May 2012 as photographed by Terry Richardson and styled by Geraldine Saglio. The editorial pays homage to the 1980 John Cassavetes film ‘Gloria’ where Gena Rowlands plays the titular heroine who’s been tasked with protecting a six-year old boy from gangland killers. In 1999, Sharon Stone appeared in a remake of ‘Gloria’ which was directed by Sydney Lumet.
